Brothers And Collaborators: Welcoming The New
Currently, we are developing the Letter U of our methodology. What energizes us is finding concrete solutions and what modifications will be made in the future: “Listening to the Spirit that has blown in us during this Chapter.”
We do this keeping in mind:
- The key issues that, after becoming aware of the current reality of the Provinces and the topics explored in the first days, we have formulated as “questions we ask ourselves.”
- Those realities that we understand we must “let go” or “let die” so that something new can be born.
- The statements we have shared over the two days that we are especially focused on dialogue with God.
You can find today's pictures here.
From here, 17 groups of 5 people have worked on four clusters or key themes:
- Transmission of the charism.
- Finances
- Governance
- Emerging realities
The topic related to the life of Brothers will be addressed at a later moment. Each group worked on two themes. The second theme was developed based on what the previous group had elaborated, enriching and deepening the results.
The questions for each theme were:
- What do we need to abandon?
- What do we need to continue doing and reinforce?
- What do we need to continue doing, but in a different way?
Sharing this in the assembly has allowed us to realize the richness of the contributions shared and the many convergences that are perceived by the majority of the capitulars.
Now, we have ahead of us a challenging task of grouping and synthesizing all these contributions in order to conclude this phase of guidelines for our apostolic works. This will occupy us on the 25th and 26th in the morning.
On the 25th, in the end of the afternoon, a mass will be celebrated to thank coworkers for their work, before returning home on Friday. A heartfelt gratitude for their commitment, contributions, and intense dedication to the life and future of the Order, during this General Chapter and much further beyond.
