Logistics Commission visit to Poland
The members of the Commission, the General Secretary Brother Andre Sene and the General Bursar Brother Jose Augusto Louro, accompanied by Mr Klaus Mutschlechner, coworker of the Curia, visited various places and spoke with many people in order to prepare as well as possible for the forthcoming General Chapter to be held from 15 October to 7 November 2024 in Czestochowa. During their visit, the three visitors were able to count on the valuable support of the Provincial of Poland, Brother Franciszek Salezy, and Mr Piotr Kulczycki as interpreter. During the visit they also had a phone call with the other member of the commission, Brother Hubert Matusiewicz.
The commission visited the two places which will be the destination of an excursion during the Chapter (Koszecin on Sunday 20 October and Krakow on Sunday 27 October); they spoke with the management of the Arche hotel to settle the final details of the stay of the Chapter participants; they discussed the technical details of the Chapter (simultaneous translation system, audio-video system, electronic voting system, etc.) with the company “Event Manager”; and finally they had several conversations with representatives of the Pauline Fathers who run the shrine of the Black Madonna in Czestochowa. The Pauline Fathers were very helpful and offered the Order the exclusive use of St Barbara's Chapel for the duration of the Chapter.
